The best way of discovering the roots and traditions is to visit the UAE’s cultural capital – Sharjah. We start our journey from the visit to Al Noor Mosque
Sharjah is a home to 600 mosques. However, the most magnificent among them is Al Noor Mosque located on Buhairah Corniche, which is influenced by the classical Turkish Ottoman architecture exhibited in the exceptional Sultan Ahmed Mosque, popularly known as the Blue Mosque in Turkey. Here we’ll have the opportunity to try the traditional clothing, be greeted by Arabic coffee and dates and have a short Q & A session where you can ask the questions about the culture, traditions and way of life of Emiratis.
The next stop is The Heart of Sharjah
A short walk in Heart of Sharjah that is a constellation of preserved heritage buildings, bazaars and alleyways converted into unique cafes, shops and museums. Stroll though into the souk Al Arsh probably the oldest market in the UAE and begin the true journey back in time.
The cultural highlight of the tour is the visit to the Heritage Museum – The Sharjah Heritage museum is dedicated to highlighting Sharjah’s authentic heritage and the rich culture of Emirati people and residents over the past decades.
Walking around Al Hisn fort
